Lydia Treidlinger is currently enrolled at the University of Toronto in the Master of Museum Studies program as well as in the Collaborative Specialization in Food Studies program. Prior to this, Treidlinger earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Guelph in Studio Art and Art History, as well as completed a culinary diploma from the Stratford Chef School. The intersections between food and culture have always held a particular interest to her. As such, she wishes to keep exploring the topic of food in its vast and varied connections to culture and identity as she continues to branch into the heritage sector as an emerging museum professional. Treidlinger’s position at the Ontario Heritage Trust was as an assistant to the Curator of the Cultural Collection as a summer intern in 2023. She is pleased to have been able to contribute to activating the Trust’s interpretive theme of food.
